Hazelnut oil, pressed from hazelnuts,  is a natural renewable raw material that can be used in food as well as in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Its typical characteristics are:

  • High percentage of oleic acid (77 g per 100 g)
  • High percentage of vitamine E ( 34 mg in 100 g)
  • High combustion degree (344˚C)
  • Low in freezeing degree (-19˚C)
  • Leaves no waxy material
  • Has natural nutty aroma
  • Linoleic acid (12.5 g per 100 g)

Hazelnut oil gives a less fatty feel to the food and keeps its liquidity better than other oils. Mono-unsaturated fatty acids , such as oleic acids,  contains less calories than any other fatty acids. Therefore, it is good for healthy snacks and diet food.  Its natural nutty aroma’s can flavour snacks, bakery products or salad dressing oil. It contains a high percentage of vitamin E, a natural antidoxidant. Due to its very  high combusition degree, it is a perfect frying oil.

PERSONAL CARE 

Hazelnut oil is considered valuable for facial and body massages. It contains essential fatty acids like linoleic acid.The oil by itself has a very light, pleasing, and sweet aroma, which is also somewhat nutty. It is easily absorbable and therefore penetrates fast into the skin. It strengthens the capillaries  and rejuvenates the skin cells. The presence of vitamin E makes hazelnut oil also beneficial for haircare.
